Starting your dance journey online is a great way to be guided through the fundamentals of social partner dancing with your own instructor, at your own pace.

We offer a first free lesson online to try out learning from home either through Zoom or FaceTime.

What is an online lesson?

This is a personal one-on-one lesson with an instructor through a video call on Zoom or Facetime. When you book your lesson, you can let us guide you or let us know what you’d like to work on. With or without a partner, there are so many ways to get dancing through online learning.

How will I learn exactly?

  • Book a time with us- once we have your details, we’ll give you a call to confirm which platform you’d like to use and answer any questions.

  • Clear a space in your home - 2 square meters is enough, set up your computer or device far enough away that we can see you clearly.

  • On the lesson, we’ll use a variety of methods to teach you to make learning to dance fun, quick and easy.

What can I learn in an online lesson?

  • Patterns - New students are guided through the basics just like our in-person lessons. Our experienced students can learn their patterns solo to build confidence in their current level.

  • Practice exercises - We have a tonne of them and they work wonders!

  • A new dance - Always wanted to learn the basics of Hustle? Argentine? West Coast Swing? …

  • Music and timing - A little theory can go a long way in dancing, especially in understanding music, phrasing and how to stay on the beat.

  • Arm styling - You can even sit down for this lesson!

  • Rise and Fall - Great for practicing balance and control in your dancing.

  • Perfecting the frame - Let’s talk elbows, hand holds, head position and dance positions. Great for leaders but also helpful for our followers too.

  • Cuban Motion - Spend some quality time with your hip action.

  • Neaten your feet - Point the camera down and let’s iron out any kinks in your footwork so you feel on top of it!

  • Posture - Learn how to set up your body for great posture and how to maintain it in the different dances we do.

  • Body isolations - Feeling isolated? We’re here for you. Learn how to move parts of the body, both together or separately for more control in your movement.
